StepLore is a browser extension developed by Serapion GmbH. This Privacy Policy explains how the StepLore extension collects, uses, stores, and protects your data when you use the product.

During active recording initiated by the user, StepLore may collect the following information:

• Text, UI components, or visual content displayed during the recording

• Timing and sequence of steps
• Cursor interactions (if included in the recording)

1.3 Automatically Collected Technical Data

• Browser version
• Extension version
• Performance and diagnostic data

Important:
StepLore does not collect any information outside of an active recording session initiated by the user.

2. How We Use the Information

Collected data is used exclusively for the following purposes:

• To generate step-by-step guides
• To create screenshots, descriptions, and structured documentation
• To produce AI-generated walkthrough videos
• To improve processing accuracy and product quality
• To maintain reliable extension performance

We do not use collected data for advertising, profiling, or resale.

3. Data Sharing and Third Parties

• StepLore does not sell or share your data with third-party advertisers.
• Your data may be processed by trusted sub-processors required to provide the service (for example, cloud hosting or AI model processing).
• All sub-processors follow GDPR-level security standards.

No data is transferred for purposes unrelated to the core functionality of StepLore.

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest when stored in the StepLore backend.

You may delete your recordings and guides at any time. Deletion is permanent.
