Getting Started with StepLore

Create step-by-step guides and videos automatically — just by doing your work.

StepLore helps you turn any workflow into instant documentation. No writing, no screenshots, no video editing. Simply record your actions, and StepLore takes care of the rest.

Step 1: Create Your StepLore Account

1. Open: https://auth.step-lore.com/
2. Register using your email and password
3. Accept the Terms & Conditions
4. Click Create account

You are now ready to start creating guides.

Step 2: Install the StepLore Browser Extension

1. Install the StepLore browser extension from the Chrome Web Store
2. Pin the extension to your browser toolbar for quick access

StepLore works directly in your browser — no additional software required.

Step 3: Open the Page You Want to Document

1. Navigate to the website, web app, or tool you want to document
2. Make sure the page is fully loaded
3. Click the StepLore extension icon in your browser

Step 4: Describe Your Guide and Start Recording

1. Enter a short description of what this guide will show
   Example: "How to share a document in Figma"
2. Click Start recording

StepLore is now capturing your workflow.

Step 5: Walk Through Your Process

• Perform your workflow as you normally would
• StepLore automatically detects:
  • Clicks
  • Navigation
  • UI interactions
• A floating control appears in the bottom corner showing:
  • Number of steps captured
  • Pause and Stop controls

When finished, click Stop.

Step 6: Preview Your Guide (AI Does the Work)

After stopping the recording, StepLore automatically:

• Generates structured steps
• Writes step titles and descriptions
• Captures screenshots for each step
• Creates an AI-generated walkthrough video
• Adds voice-over narration

Your documentation is instantly ready.

Step 7: Edit, Preview, and Share

From the guide editor you can:

• Edit step titles and descriptions
• Reorder or delete steps
• Preview the generated video
• Copy a shareable link
• Export documentation (PDF & advanced editing available in Premium)
